Attorney Kring is the founder of Kring & Associates and has thirty-five years of experience in the areas of tax law, multistate and international tax issues, business law, bankruptcy law and domestic law. In addition to being admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court and the United States District of Massachusetts. He has extensive experience representing clients involved in both civil and criminal tax disputes, including IRS audits and litigation and issues involving the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
Karen has over a decade of experience in public accounting, most recently as a Principal at a large Greater Boston-area firm. Previously, Karen was a Tax Manager at a large New England public accounting firm. As a Tax Manager and Principal, Karen served on the tax committee, frequently led firm-wide trainings on cutting edge tax issues and worked on valuations for estates, closely held business and gifting. Ms. Chan specializes in tax and tax planning for corporate entities and partnerships, as well as high net worth individuals and trusts. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Accountancy from Bentley University.
Mark joined Kring and Associates with the merger of Michael & Grubert, where he was a founding partner. Mark has over forty years of experience providing consulting, accounting services, business tax planning and reporting to family-owned businesses, individuals, trusts & estates. He takes pride in supporting his clients through every phase of the business lifecycle—whether they are just starting out, navigating growth, or preparing for a sale or succession. He is a member of the AICPAs and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
Bill retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2008 where he most recently served as the Manager Budget and Controller in the New Hampshire and Boston Districts. Bill has been a Certified Financial Planner since 1998 and has been serving as a fee-based financial planner since 2001. His focus as a financial planner is on tying Insurance, Investments, Taxation, Retirement planning and Estate Planning into a comprehensive plan. He works primarily with former Federal employees across the United States. He is also the State Treasurer for NARFE (National and Retired Federal Employees and a member of the board of directors for Massachusetts Retirees United.
Pat is a Human Resources professional with 30+ years of corporate experience across a varied spectrum of industries. She has a specialty expertise in Employee Benefits management, design, implementation, audits and administration. She holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation highly recognized in the HR field. Her professional experiences also include HR management, business operations, HRIS and small business management.
